I hope by now you have a page filled with some dreams and a vision for where you want to go and how you want your sweet life to look. (Go back and catch up if you've missed the previous posts!) In baking, once you have that ingredient list in front of you, all you need to do next is follow the instructions to pull them all together.  One of the most fascinating things to me about baking is watching individual and separate ingredients come together to become something totally new and different.  (Not to mention, delicious!)  When we take these dreams, prayers and wishes and mix them with the right things in the right way, it’s amazing what they can turn into.  There are many recipes and methods that can get you to that final outcome of your sweet life (AKA a life of purpose and fulfilled dreams!) so this isn't an end-all-be-all list.  We all have our own unique journey and relationship with God that can and should affect the experience, but I do have some tips to get it all moving.  

As I mentioned, there is no perfect formula, but the following method will bring your dreams to life!  And I get it all from the Bible:

1. ASK - Ask God for the things on your page. There are SO many scriptures on asking (Matthew 7:7-8, Mark 11:24, John 14:14, James 4:2, 1 John 3:22)  Sometimes, simply asking is the only thing standing between us and the sweet life. If my kids come to me asking for something, it's usually pretty hard to say no to them!  I love being able to bless them and give them what they want.  It brings me joy to see them happy. Obviously it's contingent at times, but my heart as their mom is to show them love in this way. How much more does God love us?! He is a perfect and loving Father.

2. ADD YOUR FAITH LIKE EGGS - Eggs are the binding agents creating a framework that supports the cake, and your faith acts the same way for your dreams. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) and Matthew 17:20 says if you have faith as a mustard seed...nothing will be impossible for you!  You will never see your sweet life if you don't first believe in it.  If it seems impossible or out of reach, all the better. Otherwise you wouldn't need faith ;-)

3. USE YOUR WORDS - James 3 compares the tongue to a rudder on a ship.  If the things I say have the power to steer my life in a certain direction, I should probably use this to my advantage and tell that ship where I want it to go.  Speaking positive words that bless my own life and others' is crucial.  We all have bad days, but speaking negative, agreeing with doubt or expecting disappointment will only keep you stuck going the wrong way.  Here are a few examples of words to say to steer your ship towards the sweet life:  

I'm heading towards God's perfect will for my life.

Everything I need is on its way to me.

God's timing is perfect and I trust Him with my future.

There is nothing that's impossible for me!
