The Sweet Life Series
This week, we’re starting a series called Find your Sweet Life. It’s a phrase I’ve coined and a motto I live by and the meaning behind it—in its simplest form—is this: go and find the life you were created for; start doing what you were made to do! Age really doesn’t matter. There will always be new facets and seasons for us to find and walk in purpose. Meaning, your definition of the sweet life might change and evolve over time and that's a good thing. But today, you can and should define what your sweet life looks like and start walking in that direction.
When we hear "the sweet life", many times we picture being kicked back on a beach sipping a chilled beverage with tons of cash in the bank. That can obviously be something we dream about and there's nothing wrong with experiencing that one snapshot in time on occasion, but if escaping from your current reality is what you find yourself dreaming about most, you may just need a little help identifying who you are and what you are meant to do.
The sweet life is something we’re all looking for. It can’t always be articulated, but our souls are always searching for it. At its core, it’s peace and joy, purpose, security; waking up every day happy and healthy looking forward to our day and the future. But as you begin to branch out from that core meaning, the specifics are different for all of us and whether or not we participate will determine if we bear fruit.

For me, the sweet life has always been literal. Owning a bakery and building a business and brand is something I always dreamed about and I wake up every day excited to do it. Having a family to come home to every night, instilling strong values in my kids, enjoying good health are all a part of my picture, and the root motivation is to leave a positive, meaningful mark on the world. There is much more to it, but you get the idea.
So what does it look like to you? The Sweet Life. Right now in this exact season of your life--or maybe in the next 1-5 years--what would it be?
This is the assignment I leave you with. Start a list or create a dream board and next week, we’ll continue to build on your answer.
It is my firm belief, if we are all finding and doing what we were put on this earth to do, the world would be a sweet sweet place.
Let me know if you're participating in this series; I would love to cheer you on! info@sweetbycaralinn.com
